Friends10 May 2018
People do some crazy things don’t they? Lately some pals and I were discussing the wrapping of cans of coca cola in cling wrap, that someone actually thought this was a good idea.
Or how the tools create the habit, like why are we so addicted to preserving dog poo, following our best friends and bagging their poo because someone told us it was a solution. Then there are those of us who throw out perfectly good food, because a stamp says its "best" date has passed. A food venue has also suggested we need a straw to drink from a bottle by putting it in there without us asking.
All pretty crazy and a little unnecessary, tools created and without question we have created habits around them.
However, lets focus on the people who are our inspiration, our best friends and those who make us feel lazy because they are just so damn good at making things happen.
Time to think of them to gain confidence for this world, those who inspire us to make the most of our lives, creating change while having a damn fine time while we do it.
I probably wouldn’t be here writing this blog right now if it wasn’t for my mum, listening to all my rants about government and how I should be do something about it. Sunday morning business and motivational riffing with my best mate over coffee who tested me to think bigger another mate who suggested the blog was the best place to start (and I think it was).
The fair food forager team, believers, passionate enough to come along for the ride.
All the amazing people I’ve met, walking the walk, changing things however they can, doing so much it makes me feel tired sometimes. You know who you are, generating conversation, ideas and bringing people onboard to work together. Its time to celebrate all the good, the changemakers, the young people who already get it and the babies being born today who will see our connection to this planet from the moment they can talk.
The future is bright.
